Is the medicine FDA-approved?
No. Our medicines are compounded: a state-licensed pharmacy prepares them for each patient's prescription. Compounded medicines are not FDA-approved, which means the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold. Ours also contain vitamin B12. If you have questions about this, call us.
Is it the same as Ozempic or Mounjaro?
No. Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound are FDA-approved brand medicines. Ours are compounded for each patient, are not FDA-approved, and contain vitamin B12.
Will my dose change?
Your dose is set for you. New patients start on the lowest dose. Your plan normally moves up one dose in month 2 and again in month 3, then stays. Before each step we email you to ask how you are doing, and you can choose to stay on your dose.
How much does it cost?
Your price depends on the medicine and the dose. Start your application to see your options: you see your price in the form before you confirm anything, and your card is only held, not charged, until you are prescribed. Or call us and we will walk you through it.
What side effects can it cause?
The most common are nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation and stomach pain, mostly in the first weeks and after a dose goes up. They usually ease. If they don't: if it is an emergency, call 911; otherwise call us in office hours or write to us from your account. Some side effects are serious: see Important safety information.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. There is no contract: your plan renews every 4 weeks until you pause or cancel. Under Refills in your account you can skip a box, pause or cancel, or you can call us. A box that has already been charged or sent to the pharmacy still ships. To restart after a pause, call us.
What do I get?
Four pre-filled syringes, one for each week (a 4-week supply), prepared by a licensed pharmacy for your prescription and sent to your home. You give yourself one small injection a week.
How do I apply? Can I do it by phone?
Tap Start and answer the medical questionnaire online. If you would rather talk it through, call us and we will help you with the form.
Who decides whether I get the medicine?
Your answers are checked against our physician's medical rules. Anything that needs a closer look is reviewed by our team, who may call you, before anything is prescribed. You get an email either way.
When is my card charged?
When you apply, we place a hold for your first box on your card. A hold is not a charge. You are charged only if you are prescribed; if not, the hold is released. After that you are charged every 4 weeks, and your price is shown before you confirm.
What if you cannot prescribe for me?
You will get an email saying we can't prescribe for you through this program, and any hold on your card is released. We don't put medical reasons in email; call us and we'll talk it through.
Do I need a photo ID?
You can add one in the form. It is not required.
Which states do you serve?
Our physician prescribes only in the states on this list. See the list.
I am already a patient. Where do I sign in?
Use Sign in at the top of the page (on a phone, it is the first line in the Menu), or the link below. In your account you can see your orders, skip, pause or cancel, and write to us.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your health information is protected under HIPAA and stored with Google under a HIPAA business associate agreement. We use and share it to care for you, to be paid and to run the practice, and when the law requires it: for example with the pharmacy that prepares your medicine and the company that processes your card. We never sell your information or share it with advertisers. Notice of Privacy Practices.
